3 .Talk with your doctor about your plan and any aids he or she might suggest.

4.Gather support from friends and family. Let them know what you are up to and ask for their encouragement.

5. Find a “breathing buddy”, someone who shares your goal to quit smoking and develop cleaner, healthier lungs and lifestyle. If you don’t know anyone, contact your doctor or local hospital and inquire about smoking cessation programs. You’ll perhaps find a “buddy” there as well as additional information and support.
